Scholarship Programme
Introduction
Allah, the Lord of the Universe, after creating the noblest of creations (humans), commanded them to first acquire knowledge and then worship Him. The first revelation sent to the great teacher of humanity, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), was “Iqra,” meaning “Read.” To understand the Holy Quran, which is the constitution of mankind, and to know and worship Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, knowledgeable people are most needed, and the prerequisite for this is ‘Ilm’ or knowledge. Today, as the world is moving towards globalization in the age of technology and advanced communication, approximately 1.73 billion Muslims worldwide are far removed from education and technology. Muslims in Bangladesh are among them. Darul Khidmah Wal Falah Bangladesh has launched a public welfare-oriented scholarship project to fully utilize the potential of the promising children from helpless, orphaned, poor, and underprivileged families within its project areas, whose talents are being destroyed in their infancy due to lack of opportunities for intellectual development, despite possessing sufficient merit, and to develop them into worthy citizens of the nation.
Aims and Objectives
- To earn the pleasure of Allah by assisting meritorious and poor students.
- To encourage wealthy individuals in the project areas towards such philanthropic activities by launching the scholarship project.
- To increase competition among students in their studies.
- To prevent abnormalities such as moral degradation and ideological vacuum prevalent in society, and instead, to set a bright example for future generations by guiding a higher standard of ideological and ethical values possessing sufficient merit, and to develop them into worthy citizens of the nation.
