Health
Health Programme
A neighbourhood clinic in Mirpur, run on fixed weekly hours, with general consultation, common medications, and basic diagnostics. Care is free for the families served by the school and the credit programme, and for others on referral.
Maternal and child health is the largest single category of presentation. We work with the assumption that a mother in good health is the single most powerful determinant of a household’s welfare, and we organise our schedule accordingly.
Seasonal medical camps — typically before Ramadan and after the monsoon — extend the clinic’s reach to households who do not normally visit. Specialist physicians volunteer their time. We do not photograph patients.
Healthcare for the poor is reliable hours, in a known building, with no money changing hands at the door.
