Eid-ul-Fitr Distribution

Each year in the final days of Ramadan, DKWFB distributes new clothing and basic household goods to families on a register maintained year-round. The intention is simple: that Eid morning is met with dignity in homes that would otherwise pass it in the same clothes as the rest of the year.

Distribution is by name and by appointment, in the institution’s premises. There are no queues organised for the camera. There is no event. There is a register, a small team, and a series of quiet transactions over the last three days of Ramadan.

We do not publish photographs of recipients. We do publish, after Eid, a summary of what was distributed and to how many households.

Charity at Eid is most truly itself when no one outside the household has occasion to notice it.
